☘☘☘ Monday September 11 at 19:30 – Irish Heritage Quebec will hold an activity in McMahon Hall, 1145 de Salaberry in Quebec City. J. Hugh O’Donnell will give a presentation entitled Surveying; Four Generations of O’Donnells. Tracing his family’s Quebec City roots, J. Hugh will touch on the establishment of Quebec City’s water system, the search for Champlain’s grave and family achievements. Friends and members are invited to attend. Hugh is a graduate of Laval University in Geodetic Sciences and holds commissions in Ontario and Quebec. He served as Surveyor General of Ontario, Assistant Deputy Minister of Geomatics Canada and Executive Vice President of the Canadian Commercial Corporation. In the private sector he worked for Marshall Macklin Monaghan, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm which specialized in areas of planning, infrastructure, hospitality and health care. Hugh was responsible for business development of the firm’s activities worldwide leading international marketing and sales initiatives to organizations in the Middle East, China, Korea and Latin America. ☘☘☘
