Henry O’Sullivan with Daniel Stewart

Monday, September 15 at 19:30 – Irish Heritage Quebec will hold an activity in McMahon Hall, 1145 de Salaberry in Quebec City. Local historian, Danny Stewart will give a presentation on Henry O’Sullivan (1845-1912), a Ste-Catherine born surveyor instrumental in exploring and mapping various regions of the Province of Quebec and whose travels took him up past James Bay. Retired public servant, Danny Stewart concentrates his research on the history of the area known as “la Seigneurie de Fossambault”: Ste Catherine de la Jacques-Cartier, Shannon, Lake Saint Joseph and a sector of the Valcartier military base. He has been a regular consultant for various historical societies. Admission is free and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served and parking stubs for Îlot St-Patrick will be validated.
