May Activity

☘☘☘ Monday, May 11 at 19:30 – Irish Heritage Quebec will hold an activity in McMahon Hall, 1145 de Salaberry in Quebec City. Local historian Daniel Stewart will give a presentation titled Alexander Stewart: An Irish immigrant’s journey and adventures. Dan will take on his 3rd great-grand uncle’s adventures departing from Ireland, living at Wolfe’s Cove, pioneering in Ste-Catherine-de-Fossambault, and emigrating to Vermont, USA. Dan developed a passion for the history of what was “la Seigneurie de Fossambault” now Ste-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, Shannon, Lake St Joseph and Fossambault-sur-le-Lac; including a large sector of Valcartier military base. It is where his Stewart ancestors pioneered and established homesteads. A regular consultant for various historical societies, Danny is a retired public servant, musician, and genealogist. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served and parking stubs for Îlot St-Patrick will be validated. For more information, please phone Irish Heritage Quebec at 418-704-3404. ☘☘☘
