Wednesday, March 19 at 19:30 – Irish Heritage Quebec will hold an activity in McMahon Hall, 1145 de Salaberry in Quebec City. This activity will be held in partnership with the organizers of the Défilé de la Saint-Patrick. Steve Cameron will preside over a presentation titled Every Once in a While…a Reminder, ( the graves are talking). The presentation covers the period 1831-1847. It makes the point that, beyond the cross on Grosse Île, oral tradition, genealogies, archaeology and old cemeteries also speak to us of those times. Their voices reveal both human tragedy and human resilience as well as a surprise or two. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served and parking stubs for Îlot St-Patrick will be validated.
